Rep Tryouts for U10 - U16 will be scheduled in spring after AAA selection is complete. All other divisions, tryouts/evaluations will occur in the fall after Labour Day following the OHF guidelines. The Association has hired outside instructors to facilitate these skates. Each Player will be guaranteed a minimum of two skates.
An objective Player Evaluation Panel will play a key role during Tryouts and Panel results will be used to support and validate Coaching decisions. This Panel will include equal representation from both Associations.
The Association has also retained an external goaltending specialist to help Coaches evaluate and rank goalies who are trying out.
Coaches will not be permitted to communicate results or make Player offers until their recommended selections have been reviewed and approved by the Evaluation Panel at the end of tryouts. In addition, Coaches will not be permitted to select their Bench Staff until after Players have been selected, and Bench Staff requests have been approved by the Board.
Players who are offered a Rep Team opportunity must sign the OMHA’s Offer of Commitment Letter when accepting their spot.
These tryouts are focused on selecting Players for our “AA” level Teams. We will be using these “AA” Tryouts to assess the viability of a second rep team at A/B/BB/MD on a division by division basis.

If a Player cannot make a particular Tryout date, it is their responsibility to advise the Coach in question so they are aware of the circumstances.
The Association has incurred significant cost in terms of retaining external instructors, evaluators and specialists to ensure that this process is as fair and objective as possible. To help support these Tryout costs, a flat fee of $75 per Player will be charged to cover the entire Tryout process. Any Player interested in attending the Tryout session must be registered in advance and payment processed via the website.
Tryout Registration Instructions
Registration and credit card payment must be made before attending tryouts.
Please ensure you complete all questions. Once you hit submit you will see a confirmation screen with a button.
Click on the “Click Here to Pay Online” button to proceed to the SportsPay portal and complete your payment.
Once complete you will receive an email confirmation of your submission and another confirming your payment. The submission confirmation email (Titled: Form Submitted: Tryout Information) will contain a link at the bottom with the Players Passport number. Please print out this email and bring to all tryouts.
This number is very important for the tryouts. This number will be listed on the Rep Team’s website to indicate whether the player successfully made the team.
After Tryout
The results will be posted on the KTMH Website, under that specific team’s site (I.E. U10AA, U13A, etc). On the team menu you will see “Tryout Player List”.
You will see a list of numbers on this page. This number corresponds to the submission ID for each individual player.
If the player’s number appears on this list they are still associated with this team. If the number does not appear on this list, the player has been released from this team. If released from AA, and an additional rep team is determined to be viable, you will be contacted.
Please note: The Players number will not appear on the list until the first Tryout has commenced.
