2018-19 Niagara Regional Silver Stick Tournament
The Schomberg Midget LL3 ventured down to Pelham for the Niagara Regional Silver Stick on Nov 23, 24, 25. The tournament provided good competition for the team and it went 4 Wins , 1 Tie and 0 Losses into the final. The Red Wings played hard games against teams from Millbrook, East Gwillimbury (#3) and Pelham (#1 & #3), drawing the host Pelham teams in the Semi-Final and Final.
Their best game of the tournament was the Semi-Final against Pelham #1, where they outplayed, outscored, outskated a very talented team they had previously tied (0-0) to win 4-2 in a tense game.
Having spent all their energy in the Semi-Final and with an injured goalie in the net, they did not fare as well and came up short in the Final. Congratulations to Pelham #3 on their win. The team would like to thank the Pelham Minor Hockey Organization for organizing a great tournament, providing excellent venues. and for the chance for our team to show their talents.
The team had a great time exploring Niagara Falls as well as playing hockey. Thanks to the team for playing hard and to the coaching staff for selecting this tournament, it was a blast!
