Congratulations to the NobleKing Knights Atom LL2 team on their first, successful team tournament! On Sunday November 26th, the team attended the Osprey Hometown Hockey Tournament, in Feversham.
Prior to the tournament, the team was involved in a fundraising campaign and sold big box cards. The players raised an amazing $1550, for the team. Atom LL2's fundraising efforts paid off and the players looked very smart in their new NobleKing hats and team hoodies, at the tournament. Our team and our sponsors were also acknowledged with a team banner, very professionally displayed outside the locker room.
During tournament play, a first round win against the Barrie Blue Jackets and a loss to the TCDMHA Rebels gave the boys enough points to play for the bronze. The team came away with the win and proudly displayed their bronze medals. It was wonderful to see the jubilation and excitement, as the players posed for an on ice team photo. To celebrate, the team enjoyed at team dinner at Johnny's Pizza. It was definitely a fun day for players, parents and siblings and a great start to the season!
Atom LL2 is looking forward to their next tournament, The AL Boone Winter Classic, in Niagara Falls from December 27th-29th.
